Kyra minturn

Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. She is most famous for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was of English origin. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she takes part in Passover seders.
